By the time you spot a few fleas on your pet or feel bites on your ankles, the infestation is already well underway. Only about 5% of a flea population consists of the adults you can actually see. The other 95% eggs, larvae, and pupae are buried in your carpets, hiding in floor cracks, and tucked into furniture. That’s why store-bought sprays and flea bombs rarely solve the problem. They kill the adults on contact, but they don’t touch what’s underneath.
Ticks present a different but equally serious concern. New York City’s parks including Prospect Park in Brooklyn, Central Park in Manhattan, and Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens all have documented tick populations. The NYC Parks Department has issued formal tick bite advisories for these areas. If your dog walks through any of them, the risk is real.
Whether you’re dealing with a full flea infestation or finding ticks after a walk through the park, we provide flea and tick treatment for homes and businesses across Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Queens.
